Applying for UK Scholarships 

UK Scholarships are available for both local, Regional and International students annually.  These scholarships are provided by various bodies/agencies. Mostly the UK Scholarships and Awards are provided by , Government and Non-Government. 

• Government Scholarships

The government of the United Kingdom (UK) Provide these scholarships. These scholarships are mostly fully funded.  The two most common scholarships provided by the UK Government are :

• UK Non-Government Scholarships 

UK scholarships that non-government are provided by Universities, business houses, foundations, individuals, churches and so on.

The Application processes for these scholarships vary alot. Government scholarships require you to apply directly to them (the organization that facilitating the scholarship programmes.)  However, most non-government scholarships allow students to seek admission first in UK universities and colleges.  In this case, you must do the following for non -government scholarships. 

• ​​Choose a university and a study program

You must apply to the UK university or College you want to take up the study programme prescribed in the scholarship.

• Meet the Application Requirements

You must meet the requirements to be eligible for admission.

• Apply

If you have selected the university or college you wish to study and met their requirements, then you must lodge your application either via online method or by post. The university should advice you on the method of application they prefer. 

•  Wait for the Admission Letter

The university or college should send you and admission offer if your application was successful. You will need this letter of admission to apply for the scholarship program. 

• Arrange your Finances - 

After you got admitted to the university you applied, now it is time for  you to apply for the scholarship programme. Send you application form together with the admission letter to the scholarship provider (non government). If your application is successful, you will be notified by the scholarship provided and now you are set to apply for your student visa.  

• Get your Student Visa

After you got your admission notices and the sponsorship letters from the scholarship provided, you can now apply for UK student VISA. 

• Travelling to UK 

With your UK student visa in hand, you can now travel to the United Kingdom (UK) to take up the study.
