Overview of PNGUNRE
The Papua New Guinea University of Natural Resources & Environment (PNGUNRE) is located in East New Britain Province of Papua New Guinea (PNG) . The university is home to over 5000 students. The university is run by the government of PNG. 

Course Programs at PNGUNRE

The course programmes available at PNGUNRE are related to Natural Resources and Environment. The following courses are offered by the University for its undergraduate programs. 

1. Bachelor in Sustainable Tropical Agriculture
2. Bachelor in Sustainable Fisheries Marine Resources
3. Bachelor in Sustainable Forestry 
4. Bachelor in Sustainable Livestock Production
5. Bachelor in Sustainable International Tourism
6. Bachelor in Environment and Climate Change
7. Bachelor in Renewable Energy and Environmental Energy 

PNG University of Natural Resources and Environment through the School of Environment and Climate Change will begin offering five new undergraduate programs in 2021.
The five programs are:

1. Degree in Environment and Climate Change; and
2. Advanced Diploma in Environmental Health under the Department of Climate Change, Health and Development; and
3. Degree in Renewable Energy and Environmental Engineering;
4. Advanced Diploma in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation; and
5. Advanced Diploma in Environmental Engineering under the Department of Environmental Engineering.

Entry Requirements for PNGUNRE

The entry requirements for PNG University of Natural Resources and Environment  (PNGUNRE) is: 
Grade 12 Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) grade of “B” or better in Language & Literature; Maths A (or Maths B), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, GPA is 2.8 or higher. 

How to apply to Study at PNG University of Natural Resources & Environment

There are two ways to apply to study at PNGUNRE. These are through: 

1. School Leavers
2. Non School Leavers

School Leavers 
All school leavers must apply through the NOAS (National Online Application System) facilitated by DHERST (See How to apply for Tertiary Courses through NOAS) 

• You must be currently doing Grade 12 at Secondary School/National High School
• DHERST gives NOAS login credentials to students in July/August
• Students fill out fill out Bio data and choices in NOAS

Non School Leavers Application Forms for PNGUNRE

The second method to apply to study at PNGUNRE is through Non School Leavers Application Forms. PNGUNRE usually releases non school leavers application forms online. Intending students can download non school leavers application forms and apply. You can request for application forms on the emails provided at the end of this post. 

• You must meet the minimum requirements outlined above. 
• Application fees apply
• Non School Leavers forms are made available in and around August annually.

PNGUNRE Tertiary Selection List 

The Tertiary selection list or Acceptance list for undergraduate is facilitated by DHERST- PNG Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology. This selection list is usually released by the DHERST in December/January annually.

Selection Lists for PNGUNRE Non School leavers are facilitated by the university. This selection list is made up from the non school leavers applications who applied through non school leavers application forms and have met the requirements to study at the PNGUNRE.
