Singapore Government makes available fully funded scholarships for its citizens to take up undergraduate studies in Singapore or overseas. Singaporeans students who get these scholarships have the opportunity to work in the fields they applied after graduating. The Singapore Government scholarships are available in any field of study except in Medicine, Dentistry, and Architecture.

Eligibility for Singapore Government Scholarships
- Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents who intend to take up citizenship
- Outstanding academic results - GCE 'A' Levels (with at least 10 academic units), International Baccalaureate (IB) or Polytechnic Diploma (with Merit) or equivalent
- Good performance in National Service
- Good CCA records
- Tuition and other approved fees
- Maintenance allowance
- Pre-studies allowances e.g. computer
- Return economy class airfare (for those who pursue their studies in overseas universities)
- Sponsorship for exchange programmes (if requirements are met)
- For undergraduate study in local universities: 4 years
- For undergraduate study in English-speaking countries: 6 years
- For undergraduate study in non-English speaking countries: 5 years
How to Apply for Singapore Government Scholarships
The Application Process is online. You need to follow the following to complete your application.

- The application comprises the Form, Essay and Documents. The Form would take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Each section can be submitted separately. An application is considered completed only after you have submitted the Form and the Essay.
- Upload clear, scanned copies of the required documents. Each set of documents should be uploaded as separate files of not more than 2 MB each.
- You may log in to the system to check your application status after submission. You will receive the outcome of your application by 30 June via email.
