Located in the Capital Port Moresby, the University of Papua New Guinea Offers courses to international students in the fields of  Law, Medicine, Computer Technology, Economics, Business, Journalism, Science, Psychology, Political Science, Environmental studies, Human Resource, Mathematics, Geology.
The University has the following Schools

• School of Business & Public Policy - The School of Business & Public Policy (SBPP) is an innovative, entrepreneurial, and vibrant School offering Bachelor Degrees in:
  
  Accounting; Banking and Finance;  Business Management;  Economics;  Human Resources Management;  Management Information Systems;  Public Policy Management;  Strategic Management; and   Tourism and Hospitality Management.
• School of Humanities & Social Sciences - The School of Humanities and Social Sciences produces high-level, trained manpower, conducts research, and provides advisory services to stakeholders in:
  Anthropology and Sociology; Archaeology; Creative Arts; History;  Gender Studies; Philosophy;  Journalism and Public Relations;
  Information Communication Sciences; Linguistic and Modern Languages;  Literature and English Communication;
  Political Science;  Psychology; and  Social Work.
• School of Law - The School of Law produces high-level, trained legal professionals, conducts research, and provides advisory services to stakeholders. The School has two Strands, the Law Strand and the Legal Clinical Program (LCP) Strand. The Law Strand is responsible for the teaching of substantive law courses and programs while the LCP Strand is responsible for the teaching, development, and administration of procedural and applied legal courses and programs, such as the Diploma in Law (Prosecutions) (DLP) program.
• School of Medicine & Health Sciences - The School of Medicine and Health Sciences is mandated to train general and specialist medical officers and other health professionals including dentists, pharmacists, medical laboratory technologists, medical imaging technologists, and specialist graduate nursing officers. The School engages in research that is relevant to the health needs of the country and the region, participates in the formulation of health policy and provides community clinical services.
• School of Natural & Physical Sciences - The School of Natural and Physical Sciences will strengthen national and regional programs, initiatives and actions in response to the Medium Term Development Strategy (MTDS), and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS) through the following teaching and research disciplines:
  Biology; Chemistry; Earth Sciences;  Environmental Science and Geography;  Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science; and
  Physics.
  Strategic research is focused on the centres of Biodiversity and Natural Products, Disaster Reduction, and the Motupore Island Marine Sciences Research Centre.

Admission Requirements - Undergraduate Programs :  B grades and above in  Grade 12 Examination results or GPA of 3 or above.
                                                 - Post Graduate - Must have Undergrad degree with good GPA.

How to Apply

The University admits new students from three main areas:

1. Grade 12 from National High Schools, Secondary Schools and other matriculation schools (to all courses).
2. as non-school leavers (to all courses).
3. from neighboring Pacific Countries (to all courses).

Each course expresses its entry requirements in terms of Grade 12 Higher School Certificate of Papua New Guinea.  Applicants who do not have these qualifications - those in (b) and (c) above - must have equivalent qualifications and the University has set up an Admissions Committee which decides on equivalence.

• ​University of Goroka The University of Goroka is located in the highlands of PNG in Goroka.  The university offers the following courses in four different schools.
