PNG Grade 10 Examination Results

The Grade 10 Examination Results are facilitated by the National Department of Education through the Measurement Services Division (MSD) formarly, Measurement Services Unit (MSU). All Grade 10 students throughout PNG face the Grade 10 National Examinations every year. These results are then published online for the students, parents, schools and other stakeholders. These results are vital because, students have to make decisions in their career based on these results. 
The Grade 10 Examinations go through eight stages: These are Item Writing, Item Development, Item Trialing ,Examination Development, Printing and Distribution, Marking and Recording, Results Processing and Publishing, Grade 11 Selections and Issuing of Certificates, 

• Item Development

Grade 10 Examinations are developed through item writing conferences. Selected teachers in the country write the examinations questions. Questions are thoroughly  critiqued and pass the panel of writers. 

• Item Development

In this state, Grade 10 Examination items are written using a computer and compiled for trialing them.

• Trialing Items

The Grade 10 Examination Questions are trialed out in the provinces. After the completion of trialing of questions, the answers are marked and analysed for questions selection. 

• Examination Development

Based on the outcome of the examination trialing conducted prior, the questions that passed certain criteria are placed in the Grade 10 Examination template for the examination development. 

• Examination Printing and distributions. 

The Grade 10 Examinations are printed after its being compiled with critical reviews. These examination booklets are distributed throughout the provinces in September. 

• Examination and Marking

Grade 10 Students across the country sit for the national examinations on the dates set by the National Department of Education. After the completion of the examination, marking of those scripts are conducted in the provinces.  After that, the marks are sent back to Measurement Services for Processing.

• Grade 10 Examination Processing 

The Grade 10 Examinations scores are processed at the Measurement Services Data processing center. The Examination marks are combined with internal marks (Grade 9 and 10 internal marks). The results are then processed using a Norm Referenced criteria. 

• Publication of Grade 10 Examination Results online

The Grade 10 Examination Results are processed and published online (at the end of this post, we will outline, how you can view your results online). 

• Grade 11 Selections

The Grade 10 Examination Results are then submitted to selection conferences, where principals of secondary schools and national high schools come and select the the students for Grade 11 placement. 

• Certificates 

The Measurement Services Divisions Prints and issues certificates to all the eligible students who have completed Grade 10 in their respective schools.

How to Check Grade 10 Examination results online 

After Grade 10 Examinations are finalized and processed, these results are published online.  Follow the following steps to view the Grade 10 Examinations Results online. 

• Requirements

You need to have  either a  computers, laptop  smart phone  that is connected to the internet.  The device must also have internet browser like google chrome, internet explorer firefox, opera etc. 

• Accessing the Grade 10 Examination Results

1. Go to https://mypngexamresults.com/
2. Enter the username and the Password.       

UserName:  Surname Middle Name  First Name
The password is in the following format. 

YYYY/PROVINCE/SCHOOL/CANDIDATE
Yyyy = Years (ex.2022)
Province = Province Code (example : 06)
School = School code (Example: 96)
Candidate : Your School leaver Number /Candidate Number (1001)

So the Password  would be something like
202206961001  (change the numbers in red)

Note : You can also change the year, if your  Grade 10 results come under the year not mentioned in the example above. The login screen would be like the sample below.
