Global Korean Government Scholarships

Study in South Korea on free fully funded Scholarships . ​Korean Government Scholarships for 2024 for Undergraduate Students is now open. This scholarship program  is one of the best and competitive scholarship programs in the world. The 2024 Global Korea Scholarship is offered in almost every field of study.

Korean government invites 60 international students from 72 countries who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Korea. The 2024 GKS is a fully-funded international scholarship and is previously called Korea Government Scholarship Program (KGSP). 

Scholarships Purpose 

The Korean Government Scholarship Program for undergraduate degrees is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea for Bachelor-level degrees, which in turn will contribute to promoting the international exchange in education and to deepening the mutual friendship among countries.

Note: Any degree program which takes more than 4 years to complete is NOT AVAILABLE under this scholarship program. All applicants cannot choose such degree programs (Examples: medicine, dentistry, architecture, and pharmacy)

 The duration of the South Korea Scholarship for international students is 4 years.

Scholarship Benefits:
The KGSP 2024 is a fully-funded scholarship in South Korea. The South Korea Scholarship covers:

• Airplane Ticket or Airfare
• Monthly Stipend
• Tuition
• Settlement Allowance
• Scholarship Completion Grants
• Korean Language Training:
• Medical Insurance
• Korean Proficiency Grants
• Research Support
• Printing Costs (Dissertation)

Application Procedure 
Through Korea Embassies :

• You can apply for any field of study or major available in Korean Universities. You can not apply for Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture, Pharmacy. 
• You can get all the guidelines and application procedure from the Korean embassy in your country.
• Go to the Korean Embassy in your country or call them or email them for the application procedure. 
• The Korean Embassy will send your nomination to the NIIED. The final selection will be done by NIIED. 
• The deadlines will be before 1st November 2023. All the Korean embassies have to send their nominations to NIIED before this date. 

Through Korean Universities :

• Students can apply only for Engineering and Natural Sciences majors except for Medicine, dentistry, architecture, pharmacy
• You need to select the Korean university from the universities list of Global Korea Scholarships 2024. After selecting a university, Apply in it.
• The University will nominate you as a scholarship candidate and will send the names of the nominated students to NIIED and then NIIED will do the final selection.
• The application deadline for international scholarships in Korea varies from university to university. All the universities have to send their selected students nominations to NIIED by 1st November
