​The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship (QECS) offers a prestigious opportunity for talented postgraduate students from across the Commonwealth to pursue Master's level studies in low or middle-income Commonwealth countries other than their own. Programs Offered
For next years  Cycle 2, a diverse range of Master's programs are available across participating universities in the following countries :   

• Fiji: The University of the South Pacific (USP) offers programs in Agriculture, Environmental Management, Geography, Marine Management, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geospatial Science, Marine Science, Mathematics, Computing Science, Engineering, Information Systems, and Physics .
• Mauritius: The University of Mauritius offers a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree .
• Papua New Guinea: The Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT) provides opportunities in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, Applied Physics, Climate Change & Renewable Energy, Forestry, and Exploratory Geophysics .
• South Africa: A wide selection of programs is available at Tshwane University of Technology, the University of Pretoria, the University of the Free State, and the University of Venda, spanning fields such as Performing Arts, Education, Public Affairs, Agricultural Science, Applied Sciences, Computing, Engineering, Business Studies, Tourism Management, Human Rights, Law, Development Studies, Political Science, Theology, Nursing, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Public Health, Dietetics, Geo-informatics, and Psychology .
• Sri Lanka: The University of Colombo offers MSc programs in Cellular and Molecular Immunology and Molecular Life Sciences, while the University of Sri Jayewardenepura provides a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program .

Benefits
The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship is fully funded, covering the following :

• Full tuition fees
• Living allowance (stipend) for the duration of the award
• Return economy flights to the host country
• One-off arrival allowance
• Research Support Grant (available upon request and subject to approval)

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the QECS, applicants must meet the following criteria :

• Be a citizen of a Commonwealth member state or hold refugee status within such a country .
• Be willing to undertake a Master’s degree program .
• Have obtained a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum classification of 2:1 (or its equivalent) from a recognized university .
• Demonstrate strong leadership potential and possess sound academic abilities.   
• Be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.   
• Apply to study in a Commonwealth country other than their own country of citizenship or origin .
• Have already completed their undergraduate degree and possess the final transcript and degree certificate at the time of application .
• Be applying for a Master's degree program with a maximum duration of two years for full-time, in-person study on campus .
• There is no upper age limit for applicants .
• Meet the specific admission requirements for their chosen Master's program at the respective university .

Application Processes
The application process for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship for the 2025 Cycle 2 involves the following steps :

• Review Eligible Programs: Carefully examine the list of participating countries and universities offering scholarships for Cycle 2 and identify a program of interest .
• Visit University Website: Use the provided links to visit the website of your chosen university to gather detailed information about the specific course and any specific university admission requirements .
• Submit QECS Application: Complete and submit the official QECS application for your chosen university and course via the online portal. You will need to create a myACU account if you don't already have one . The application portal can be accessed by clicking the ‘Apply now’ button on the university's page on the scholarship portal or directly via the official ACU application portal .
• Apply to the University: Submit a separate application for admission to your chosen Master's degree course directly to the university. Note that for Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT), the university application should only be initiated after you have been successful in securing the QECS scholarship .
• Read Guidance and FAQs: Thoroughly review the application guidance and frequently asked questions (FAQs) documents before commencing your application .

Submit by Deadline: Ensure that your applications are submitted by the deadline, which for Cycle 2 of the  Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships is 15:00 UTC on June 4, annually.
