Australian Scholarships Awards for PNG students in Certificate of Community Health Work

To pursue a Certificate of Community Health Work for studies in 2016, interested applicants living in rural areas must first meet the institution(s) selection criteria. The Certificate of Community Health Work is a two year program delivered at 12 Community Health Worker Training Institutions around the country in partnership with the National Department of Heath. Selection is based on Papua New Guinea Government priorities and the merit of the applicants.

How to be considered for a scholarship?
Applicants must FIRST apply and be accepted to one of the partner institutions listed in the table below in order to be considered for a scholarship. If you are not accepted for admission to one of the institutions, you will not be considered for a scholarship.

Scholarship selection criteria for CHW applicants
Applicants must:
• Have a Grade 10 or 12 certificate from an accredited institution
• Have a strong Grade 10,11 and or12 academic record
• Be between 18-25 years of age at time of application
• Be from or have been working in a rural area
