The awards are aimed at professional Papua New Guineans. According to chevening.org the awards are given to:
“…talented professionals who are potential future leaders, decision-makers and opinion formers. The scholarships offer financial support to study for a Master’s degree at one of the UK’s leading universities, and the opportunity to become part of an influential and highly regarded global network.”
There are two awards available for Papua New Guineans, the Chevening PNG Scholarships and the Chevening Central Partnerships Awards.
The Chevening PNG Scholarships accepts application from a wide range of subject areas, and particularly welcome applications in the following field of Human Rights, Sustainable Development, Prosperity, Climate Change, and Governance.
The scholarship includes a monthly allowance (stipend), travel to and from the country via an approved route with arrival and excess baggage allowance, a thesis or dissertation grant, tuition fees and the cost of an entry clearance visa.
There is a global fee cap of £13, 000 for MBA and Master’s in Finance which means that if the tuition fees of your university exceed this amount then you will be required to meet to remainder of the fees.
